Grandtastic rallied past Forest Passage to win a quickly-run maiden special weight for 3-year-olds on Jan. 3rd at Sunland Park. Both promising 3-year-olds were bred and sold by Stonewall Farm Stallions.

The final time of the six-furlong race was 1:11.24, as Grandtastic used an impressive four-wide rally to post a 1 ¾-length victory over Forest Passage. The winner earned an 81 Beyer Speed Figure.

Grandtastic is a son of Grand Slam from the Stonewall broodmare Stylish Beauty by Pleasant Colony. Forest Passage, the odds-on favorite in the race, is by Forestry out of the Stonewall mare Pass Me the Salt by Salt Lake.
