Marquetry Filly Tops WTBA Summer Yearling Sale

A Marquetry filly topped the Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Association (WTBA) summer yearling auction September 4, 2007, when she sold for $80,000.

John Brocklebank of Santa Barbara, CA purchased the dk bay/brown filly out of the stakes-winning, Capt. Don mare, Tempered Dawn.

Griffin Place, agent, consigned the filly. The most expensive colt sold for $60,000.
