Champion racehorse Leroidesanimaux (Brz) has put himself in position to also have a chance to be a champion sire. Through Oct. 5th, the brilliant record-breaking miler is No. 2 on the North American Leading Freshman Sire List with progeny earnings of $681,859, and he has a top contender for next month’s Breeders’ Cup.

Leroidesanimaux’s latest impressive maiden winner came in Japan, giving him winners now in Russia, Japan, Ireland, Canada and the United States. On Oct. 4th, his 2-year-old filly Always a Princess emerged as a serious contender for next month’s $2 million Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) at Santa Anita after finishing a valiant second in the $300,000 Oak Leaf (G1) at that track despite only one prior start, which was a flashy debut maiden win.
