Stonewall Farm Stallions’ Lawyer Ron, last year’s Eclipse Champion Older Male, sired his first foal early Tuesday, Jan. 20th when a chestnut filly was delivered at Stonewall Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.
The filly is out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Queen’s Causeway and was bred by Stonewall.
“She is a fantastic representation of Lawyer Ron,” said Clark Shepherd of Stonewall Farm Stallions. “We could not be happier with her physically, but it is not surprising to us. As great of a racehorse as Lawyer Ron was, he is even a better physical individual.”
Lawyer Ron is a record-setting, multiple Grade 1-winning millionaire. In 2007, he won the Whitney H. (G1) and Woodward S. (G1) in back-to-back starts at Saratoga before retiring to stud at Stonewall Farm. Lawyer Ron bred 116 mares in his first year at stud in 2008.
He stands in 2009 for a fee of $25,000.
