Glen Arbre Farm and Partner's DONERAILE
GEM (Doneraile Court)
remained unbeaten from two starts when capturing the C$151,600 Clarendon S. by
1 3/4 lengths at Woodbine on Saturday. The two-year-old dark bay gelding
completed the 5 1/2-furlong test in 1:06 over the Polytrack with jockey Patrick
Husbands in the irons. With this win, the John Cardella pupil has more than
quintupled his earnings to $105,807. Last time out, he broke his maiden for a
$50,000 tag at this venue...
Doneraile Gem, a two-year-old son of Doneraile Court, captured the $144,504
Clarendon Stakes at Woodbine, July 7, by one-and-three-quarter lengths. Doneraile
Gem stalked the leader to the head of the stretch where he moved to the lead
and drew clear. The victory gives Doneraile
Court, a son of Seattle Slew, 15 stakes winners. On
the same day at Calder Race Course in Florida,
Doneraile Court
also had a two-year-old daughter run second in the JJ’s Dream stakes.
Britten’s Beauty, in just her second start, ran second to the impressive
winner Yonagucci in the $100,000 stake. This gives Doneraile a great start with
this crop. Doneraile Court
gained two new two-year-old stakes horses in one day. Doneraile Court stands for
$10,000.
