Leading freshman sire Value Plus picked up two more flashy winners from his first crop of 3-year-olds on Feb. 7th at Oaklawn and Aqueduct.
Hidden Value broke through with a comfortable three-length win in a $36,000 maiden special weight at Oaklawn for Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas. The bay filly flashed great early speed to open up a sizable advantage and prove best, stopping the clock in 1:12.78 for six furlongs.
Also on Sunday, Tribeca stretched out in her second start to capture a $41,000 maiden special weight at Aqueduct. The bay filly won by 2 ½ lengths after stopping the clock in 1:46.03 for a mile and seventy yards.
Fellow freshman sire Leroidesanimaux (Brz) had an exciting winner Sunday when his 3-year-old filly Mahindar captured her second straight win at Tampa Bay Downs. It marked back-to-back allowance wins for the bay filly who now owns three victories overall from six starts.
